text: Kasimir Malevich is one of the most important and influencial pioneers of geometric abstract art. He was born near Kiev and trained at The Kiev School of Art and Moscow Academy of Fine Arts. In 1913 he began to work with abstract geometric patterns in a style he called Suprematism. Only in the 1920s he startrf to translate the suprematist language to everyday objects. But this remains an experiment and makes his famouse teapot and cups even more unique.
